The owner curently allows the public to enjoy the lowerlawns as a party and separate picnic and fishing area, on a book and pay basis. See the separate website: druiweplaas.co.za The rondawel has a built braai fitted to roast a sheep as well as a  kamp-fire ring. It is in the middle of a 210m stretch of lawn, down to the willow-fringed lake. Approved architectural plans for a larger roofed Goma, that can seat 300, is connected to the above with a path through the gulley and indiginous forest. Separate ablution (toilet and shower each) is located near the swimming pool, across the lawn from the rondawel.
